Super friendly owner with freshly baked goods made on premises. Get there early to get a slice of the viral Kinder Bueno cookie pie, which takes 13 hours to make! Cookies are decadent and huge. Large selection of pastries both sweet and savoury and a lovely delicatessen featuring dried and tinned goods from different countries and a lovely selection of wooden crockery for sale. Open late through the summer.

The food was fresh and delicious, lots of filling, and mocha, one of the best I've had. Friendly helpful staff with a lovely, calm atmosphere dispute road works going on outside, would definitely visit again.

Lovely cosy cafe/coffee shop, staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating, cakes were to die for and the hot chocolate was lovely and hot. I even had a free gingerbread man with a smiling face staring at me placed on the side of my cup. Just what was needed on a crazy morning x

Dukes Delicatessen is one of those places that feels like a proper local favourite — warm, welcoming, and consistently excellent. I’ve known Laura, the owner, for many years, and if there’s one thing she’s always known how to do, it’s make a seriously good coffee. There’s a real charm to the place. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with a cosy vibe that makes you want to sit and stay a while. The coffee is always spot on — smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. Pair it with one of the fresh cakes or pastries and you’re onto a winner. The service is exactly what you want from an independent café: genuine, familiar, and full of personality. Whether you’re a regular or just passing by, you’re treated like part of the community. If you’re in Eastbourne and fancy a proper coffee made by someone who really knows her stuff, Dukes is the place to go.

Wonderful cafe, tasty breakfast and the owner is the loveliest person. She took great care of us. When I visit Eastbourne again I’m definitely going back. My picture is of the “small English breakfast”. The normal one has two of everything.
